Mortal Kombat Gold is the definitive game in the MK series, designed specifically for the Sega Dreamcast. The game conbines two things, being a console and arcade game at the same time. This because of the same exact quality of graphics of the arcade game plus all of the features you found on the home convertions of MK4.
MK Gold is MK4, but with DreamCast only features, like the five returning characters, from MK2 and MK3, to join the MK4 select screen, also with hidden characters, Goro, Noob Saibot, Meat and Sektor, as a new hidden character only for MK Gold (to unlocke this characters please go to the "SECRETS" section).
Each character is composed of over 3000 polygons each, also runs at 60 frames per second, as an addition, MK Gold uses the massive storage of a CD ROM, this for displaying Full Motion Videos for each character, including the hidden ones, who did not have it in previews MK games. Because of the more space the DC have, you'll find out more features, no just the ones said, so, prepare for kombat on the 3D MK whole new world.
